Welcome...
Thanks for viewing my e-portfolio!
I am a 2009 graduate of Rutgers University: School of Communication and Information. I received a Master's degree in Library and Information Science, with a specialization in School Library Media. I currently work as the district media specialist for the Haddon Heights School District, servicing students in grades 1-12. In this position, I oversee four school libraries and teach weekly classes to the students in grades 1-6, as well as manage the junior high and high school media centers. Previously, I served as an elementary school media specialist at LEAP Academy, a charter school in Camden, NJ.
Prior to working as a librarian, I spent several years instructing students as a classroom teacher both in Camden, NJ and in the Bronx, NY.
My second Master's degree is in Education. I received this degree while participating in the New York City Teaching Fellows, a program designed to bring professionals into the NYC public school system. My undergraduate degree is in Women's Studies from Fordam University in the Bronx, NY.
I hold a standard New Jersey Professional Librarian's Certificate, a standard Elementary School New Jersey Teacher's certificate, and a standard New Jersey School Library Media certificate.
Thank you for visiting my site and I hope you find something of interest!
